Painted Rock Petroglyphs
This is a really nice place to rest for $8 a night. It is BLM, and camping fees go toward upkeep. No hookups, but nice clean pit toilets. The camp hosts do a great job. Must register via Recreation.gov; they accept no cash. Per hosts, if you have T-Mobile like me, there is no signal. When you exit I8 register with site pending, when you arrive, pick a site, and when you have signal, pay and done.

Too windy to go up the hill, one step forward and 2 blown back.
Stays on the list.
The road is rough but accessible to most vehicles.
And on to Joshua Tree.

Heading west, outside Tucson on the way to Ajo I had to stop for construction and got this picture of Kitt Peak National Observatory.

More from our ancient ancestors. You can go right to it but without a drone you can’t really get a picture except for this one on a small hill.
Overnight at scaddon wash blm in Quartzite then off to find the Blythe Angels tomorrow.
